I took the JTorry Beginners Everyday Makeup 101 class and had a blast! Before the class, I never wore any makeup because I never knew what to buy or how to apply it. I expressed my concerns with Jenny and she was so kind to provide a detailed list of things to bring. I was looking for a natural look that I could wear to work and Jenny and her team helped me do just that. Not only did I learn about colors for my deep skin tone, I learned the importance of how it all works together. Jenny explained the technique of applying my makeup, and she demoed the technique on a model as well. We were taught a great technique for applying lashes! I love lashes but I could never get them on, but Now I wear them every day. Also, color correcting was something I was not familiar with. Are these makeup classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. Every JTorry Makeup 101™ experience is beginner-friendly and designed for everyday women learning to apply their own makeup. Jenny meets you at your current skill level. No previous experience is required.
Which makeup learning experience should I choose?
Choose the online course for a complete system you can revisit at your own pace. Choose a private lesson for one-on-one guidance and immediate feedback tailored to your features and products. Choose the makeup-and-hair option if you also want to learn practical hairstyling. Choose a group class for a hands-on learning experience with friends, colleagues or other women. Virtual private lessons are also available through the booking link.
What is the difference between the online course and an in-person class?
The online course organizes the self-makeup system Jenny teaches in person into 48+ video lessons, workbooks, checklists and placement guides with lifetime access. In-person classes offer live instruction and hands-on guidance during a scheduled experience.
Where are the in-person makeup classes held?
At JTorry Studio in Cedar Hill, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Visits are by appointment only. Your full studio address and arrival instructions are shared after booking. Off-site group experiences may be available by request.
What should I bring to my makeup class?
Bring your current makeup, brushes, sponges and beauty tools. You receive a Makeup Must-Have List after registering. You do not need to purchase an entirely new makeup routine before attending.
Will I apply my own makeup?
Yes. In-person lessons and group classes teach hands-on self-makeup application. You practice on your own face while Jenny demonstrates and guides your technique. Private lessons allow individual observation and correction; group classes include a live model demonstration and guidance from Jenny and the JTorry team.
How many students attend a group class?
The required group size and class capacity are confirmed with the JTorry team before registration. Share your preferred date, class type and number of participants so we can confirm the right experience for your group.
Does the online makeup course include live coaching?
No. Everyday Glam Made Simple is a self-paced online course. You can submit makeup questions through the course support form. The JTorry team reviews questions and ensures they are answered inside the course portal.
How long is a private makeup lesson?
The private makeup-only lesson is a three-hour experience for one student. Check the makeup-and-hair and virtual booking options for their session details.
How much do makeup lessons and classes cost?
The online course is $497. A private makeup lesson is $850, and the private makeup-and-hair experience is $1,200. Group makeup classes start at $500 per person; group makeup-and-hair classes start at $700 per person. Check the virtual booking page for its current investment. Group size and final details are confirmed before registration.
Is the online course a subscription?
No. The $497 investment is a one-time payment and includes lifetime course access and future course updates.
What payment methods and payment plans are available?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted. Payment is currently collected as a one-time payment. Any available third-party payment options appear during checkout.
When is my enrollment or appointment confirmed?
The payment shown at checkout is required to complete your enrollment or reservation. Your place is confirmed after the required payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email from JTorry. Dates remain subject to availability until the reservation steps are complete.
How do group-class payments work?
After your date, class type and participant count are confirmed, the JTorry team provides registration and payment instructions. Pricing is per participant.
What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Review the cancellation and rescheduling terms for your selected experience before purchasing. By submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to those terms.
Are these professional makeup artist certification classes?
No. These experiences teach self-makeup application for everyday women. For professional training and certification, visit JTorry Makeup Academy.
Does a private or group class include the online course?
The online course, private lessons and group classes are presented as separate learning experiences. Before booking a live class, ask the JTorry team whether online access is included in your selected package. Lifetime online access is included with the $497 online-course purchase.
